The Rotary Club of Chestertown was founded in 1949 and has been serving the surrounding communities for over 50 years. We welcome your involvement! If you are interested in joining contact us or stop by a meeting. We meet every Tuesday (see calendar for up to date events) at OP Fredericks. Regular meetings take place year round; guests are most welcome. Please plan to arrive between 5:45 PM and 6:00 PM. Your prompt arrival allows time for everyone to sign in and mingle for a few minutes, and a punctual start of our meeting at 6:15 PM.

"RI President-elect Kalyan Banerjee will ask Rotarians to Reach Within to Embrace Humanity during the 2011-12 Rotary year.
Banerjee unveiled the RI theme during the opening plenary session of the 2011 International Assembly, a training event for incoming district governors.
He urged participants to harness their inner resolve and strength to achieve success in Rotary.
'In order to achieve anything in this world, a person has to use all the resources he can draw on. And the only place to start is with ourselves and within ourselves,' Banerjee said."

Rotary's official mottoes date back to the early days of the organization.
The principal motto is Service Above Self.

Rotary's official Guiding Principals define the Object of Rotary, Avenues of Service, Mission, and additionally, members are encouraged to strive to meet four tests in their every day lives. These tests, collectively have become known world wide as "The Four-Way Test."
